As Luis Palau once noted: "When you win people to Jesus Christ, it's the greatest joy ... And it's contagious. Once you do it, you don't want to stop." As we mourn and pray with the family of this hero of the faith, let's honor his legacy by echoing his message of joy and hope.

“If I could challenge you in one way right now . . . as I face eternity and you continue on . . . it would be this: Never let the fire of evangelism fade.
Stand strong for the Gospel!”
God bless the legacy of Luis Palau who just went into God’s presence
I asked Luis Palau who he would want to visit in heaven and he said his dad, who passed away when Luis was just 10. “He taught me how to die—with a hymn in my heart and Scripture on my lips.”

Luis Palau has gone to Heaven. It was my privilege to know Luis, and he was full of passion for Christ and for lost people. God used him to lead thousands to Christ. I know the Lord has said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord!” pic.twitter.com/ETyBrmFAyZ

He once said, ‘When you face weariness, carelessness, and confusion, don't pray for an easier life. Pray instead to be a stronger man or woman of God.’ After his battle with cancer, Luis entered into his eternal reward. Please pray for his wife, Pat, and his sons Andrew, Kevin, Keith, Steve, and their families.

The passing of the evangelist Luis Palau at the age of eighty-six was recently announced. With his ‘promotion to glory’ another of a generation of pioneering preachers has left us. I had the privilege of knowing Luis and have always had the most profound respect and affection for him both as an individual and as a powerful proclaimer of the good news of Jesus.

‘You don’t have to have a jaw-dropping story of how you received Jesus. It just must be your story.’
Luis Palau finished the course with integrity and joy. I am celebrating his faithful life and legacy for Christ. Heaven is now his home and many souls are there and yet to come because of him

“Saddened to hear of the passing of prolific evangelist Luis Palau. Writing his bio years ago was one of the great privileges of my life.”
—Jerry B. Jenkins
From the time I first met Luis at Amsterdam, I knew we were kindred spirits! He was a role model for me as an evangelist—first from a distance and then recently being part of the NGA/GNE staff for a year. Truly he lived 2 Timothy 4—preaching the Word in and out of season, enduring hardship, doing the work of an evangelist, and discharging ALL the duties of his ministry! After preaching his whole life on new life in Christ and Heaven, now he has been welcomed to Heaven and experienced our Lord face to face! That’s better than any reward!
All of us countless evangelists around the world whom he has influenced and empowered will continue proclaiming Jesus! His impact will continue!
